특히 컴퓨터비전 분야 최고 권위 저널인 IEEE TPAMI에 1편(오지형 교수 연구실)이 게재되었으며, EMNLP 2026에 7편, CIKM 2026에 2편(김영빈 교수 연구실)이 채택되는 우수한 성과를 거두었습니다.
여기에 쿠도커뮤니케이션 대상 VLM 기반 도시 관제 및 사람 재식별 기술 등 3건의 기술 이전(엄찬호 교수 연구실)과 수산물 관능검사 AI 플랫폼 관련 국내 특허 등록(최종원 교수 연구실)이 이루어졌습니다. 더불어 한국연구재단 및 과학기술정보통신부 신규 과제 수주(김지훈·권혁준 교수 연구실), 최종원 교수의 IEEE Senior Member 승격, KCCV 2026 Oral 발표 및 중국 Nankai University 초청 발표, 청룡토크 전반기 우수발표상 수상까지 다방면에서 연구가 활발히 이어졌습니다.
중앙대학교 첨단영상대학원 공학전공은 첨단 영상기술과 AI를 기반으로 미래 AI 미디어 기술의 가능성을 계속 넓혀가겠습니다.

■ We are pleased to share the August 2026 highlights from the Engineering Track at the Graduate School of Advanced Imaging Science, Multimedia & Film, Chung-Ang University (GSAIM).

▶ 10 papers at leading international venues
▶ 2 new research projects
▶ 2 patent applications/registrations
▶ 2 conference presentations
▶ 3 technology transfers
▶ 3 invited talks
▶ 1 seminar/event
▶ 1 society elevation
▶ 2 awards

Notably, 1 paper was accepted to the prestigious IEEE TPAMI (lab of Prof. Jihyong Oh), alongside an outstanding 7 papers accepted to EMNLP 2026 and 2 to CIKM 2026 (lab of Prof. Youngbin Kim).
Add to that 3 intelligent video surveillance and person re-identification technology transfers to CUDO Communication (lab of Prof. Chanho Eom), and a domestic patent registration for an AI-based seafood sensory inspection platform (lab of Prof. Jongwon Choi). GSAIM also secured new research projects from the NRF and MSIT (labs of Profs. Jihoon Kim and Hyeokjun Kweon), celebrated Prof. Jongwon Choi’s elevation to IEEE Senior Member, and delivered invited talks at KCCV 2026 (Oral) and Nankai University, alongside student award wins at the GSAIM Blue Dragon Talk.
The Engineering Track at CAU GSAIM continues to advance the future of AI-driven media technology.
